How writing credits are charged

The price is fixed by the quote you accepted, so there are no surprises. Credits are only spent when the result is saved.
Which credits are used first
Credits that expire soonest are used first: trial credits, then this month's Writer credits, then rolled-over credits. Pack credits are used after your monthly credits.

Do failed generations cost credits?
No. Failed writing runs are free, and media credits for a failed image or clip are returned.
Why is part of my balance reserved?
Something is running. The hold is released or charged when it finishes.
