Your profile and sign-in, downloading your data, bringing work from the earlier app, and deleting your account.

Profile, sign-in and appearance

  • Open Account in the sidebar.
  • Change your display name (up to 80 characters).
  • Sign-in, password & security opens your secure sign-in settings: email, password and connected accounts.
  • Switch light or dark under Appearance.

Emails we send

We email you only about your account, from hello@screenwriting.ai. Replies reach support.

  • A welcome email when you sign up.
  • A reminder when your writing or media credits run low, once until you top up. Turn it off with Email me when my credits run low in Account.
  • Updates on bringing work over from the earlier Screenwriting.ai: when your claim is reviewed and when the import finishes.
  • A confirmation once your account has been deleted.

Download your data

  1. Open Account and choose Download account data.
  2. Save the fileYou get one file, screenwriting-account.json.

Very large accounts can export documents one at a time from the Library, or email support for help.

Bring work from the earlier Screenwriting.ai

  1. Request the linkOn the Account page, open existing-account support, enter the email or user ID of your earlier account and tick the consent box.
  2. Wait for verificationThe status changes from requested to verified (or rejected, with a reason).
  3. Choose what to importSelect the items and choose Import selected items. If any fail, choose Resume failed items.

Delete your account

  1. End your subscription firstCancel with Manage billing and let the paid period finish.
  2. Let running work finishWait for any images or clips in progress.
  3. ConfirmOn the Account page, type DELETE MY ACCOUNT and confirm.
  4. Confirm it's youIf you haven't signed in within the last 10 minutes, enter your password or the code we send you. This keeps anyone else from deleting your account.
If deletion is blocked because…Do this
A subscription is still activeCancel it and wait for its paid period to end
A checkout is still openFinish or close the payment page, then try again
Media jobs or purchases are still settlingWait a few minutes
An existing-account request is pendingWait for it to be verified or rejected
Billing status needs a refreshOpen Plan & Credits, then try again

Privacy

Your work is private to your account. Deleted items stay in Trash for 30 days so you can restore them, then they're permanently removed. The privacy policy has the details.
