Your stories are yours. This policy explains what information Screenwriting.AI collects when you use screenwriting.ai and the Screenwriting.AI application (the “Service”), how we use it, who helps us process it, and the choices you have. The Service is operated by AI Digital Productions LLC (“we”, “us”).
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. We send marketing email only where the law allows, and every marketing message includes a way to opt out.
When you run a writing tool, chat with a writing partner, or create an image or clip, we send the content needed for that request to the AI provider that handles it. That may include your brief, the saved document or section you selected, attached files, recent messages and story notes, and your prompts and reference images.
We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not allow our AI providers to use it to train theirs under the API terms we use. Providers may keep request data briefly for abuse monitoring under their own policies. Please don’t include sensitive personal information, such as health or financial details about real people, in your content.
We share information only with service providers who help us run the Service:

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. In that case, this policy continues to apply to your information.
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, and your browser’s local storage to remember settings such as light or dark mode and to recover unsaved drafts. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Because we don’t track you across sites, we don’t change our practices in response to “Do Not Track” signals.
To make a request, email support@screenwriting.ai. We respond within 30 days, and we may need to verify your identity first. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
United States residents. Depending on your state (for example California, Colorado, Virginia or Utah), you may have rights to know, access, correct and delete personal information. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
EEA, UK and Swiss residents. AI Digital Productions LLC is the data controller. We process your information to perform our contract with you, for our legitimate interests in running and securing the Service, to comply with the law, and with your consent where we ask for it. Your information is processed in the United States; where required, transfers are protected by standard contractual clauses. You may complain to your local data protection authority, though we’d appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.
We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls, and private storage that only your account can reach. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and keep your sign-in details private. If a data breach affects you, we will notify you as the law requires.
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with a parent or guardian’s permission. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy as the Service or the law changes. We will post the new version here with a new date. If the changes are significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before they take effect.
