Terms of Service

1. Your account

• You must be at least 13 to use the Service, and at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to buy a subscription or credits. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian’s permission.
• Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• One free trial per person. Creating extra accounts to get more trials or credits is not allowed.

2. The Service

Screenwriting.AI provides AI-assisted writing tools, writing partners, document editing, image and video generation, storyboards and a film editor. We are continually improving the Service, so features, models and limits may change. Some features rely on third-party AI providers; when a provider is unavailable, a feature may be temporarily limited.

3. Your content

• You own your content. As between you and us, you own what you put into the Service and, to the extent the law and our AI providers’ terms allow, what the Service generates for you.
• Permission to run the Service. You give us a limited license to host, store, process and transmit your content only as needed to provide the Service to you, including sending it to the AI providers that handle your requests.
• No training. We do not use your content to train AI models.
• You are responsible for your content and for having the rights to anything you upload, such as scripts, images and music.

4. AI-generated output

AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or similar to content generated for others, and it may not be protectable by copyright everywhere. Review it before you rely on it, publish it or submit it anywhere. Writing partners offer creative feedback; they are not a guarantee of quality, originality or commercial success, and they are not legal or professional advice.

5. Credits

• Writing credits pay for the AI Writer and chats, and are charged by usage: the most a run can cost is held, and you pay only for what it actually uses. Media credits pay for images and video clips, at the price shown before you create; 100 media credits equal US$1.
• Credits have no cash value, can’t be transferred or sold, and can be used only in the Service.
• Writer plan credits reset each billing month. Pro and Studio writing credits roll over while you’re subscribed and stay usable until the end of your last paid period after you cancel. Credit-pack writing credits and media credits don’t expire while your account is open. All credits end when your account is deleted.
• If a generation fails, its credits are returned automatically. Credits removed because of a refund or chargeback can make your balance negative.

6. Subscriptions and payment

• Prices are shown in US dollars on our website and at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices exclude taxes unless stated; you’re responsible for any taxes that apply.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. You authorize us to charge your payment method on each renewal.
• Cancel anytime from Plan & Credits → Manage billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
• Upgrades take effect immediately: you pay the new price minus credit for the unused part of your current plan. Downgrades take effect at your next renewal.
• We may change prices. A new price applies to your subscription only from your next renewal after we notify you, and you can cancel before then.
• If a payment fails, paid features may be paused until it is resolved.

7. Refunds

Refunds are covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

8. Acceptable use

You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. We may refuse requests, remove content, or limit, suspend or close accounts that break it.

9. Our property

The Service, including its software, design, writing tools, partner profiles and brand, belongs to AI Digital Productions LLC and its licensors. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or scrape the Service, or use it to build a competing product. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.

10. Third-party services

The Service uses third-party providers, such as payment processing, sign-in and AI generation. Their services are subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

11. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these Terms, if your use creates legal risk or harms others, or if we stop offering the Service. Where reasonable, we will give you notice and a chance to download your content. Sections 3, 4 and 9 to 14 survive termination.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that output will meet your needs. Keep your own copies of important work.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, AI Digital Productions LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$100. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify AI Digital Productions LLC against claims, losses and costs arising from your content, your use of the Service or your breach of these Terms.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which AI Digital Productions LLC is organized and the federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them elsewhere. Before filing a claim, please contact us at support@screenwriting.ai so we can try to resolve it informally.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new date and, for significant changes, notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, you accept them.

17. General

These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms; we may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
